"We're in business baby, the pilot's on."

It's been a very busy week in TV land. All the networks had their upfronts over the past week and announced not only their Fall 2011 Primetime lineups, but also which pilots they picked up. There are quite a few that I'm excited about so I figured I'd go ahead and post the trailers and let you decide what you think.

Here they are (listed by day of the week)!

Hart of Dixie - Mondays @ 9 on the CW

Ringer - Tuesdays @ 8 on the CW

Up All Night - Wednesdays @ 8 on NBC

Free Agents - Wednesdays @ 8:30 on NBC

And coming midseason:
Apartment 23 - on ABC

Awake - on NBC

There you have it. I am so excited to see so many of my favorites in these new shows. Christina Applegate is always amazing. I've always loved Sarah Michelle Gellar, even before my Buffy obsession. Rachel Bilson was arguably the best part of the OC. And Krysten Ritter is so fantastic and really should be a lot more famous than she is. Hopefully at least a few of these actually turn out to be good and make it through their rookie seasons. Is it Fall yet?!

For the full Fall 2011 schedule click HERE.

Until next time... xo

"Silver white winters that melt into springs, these are a few of my favorite things."

I have been a bit remiss lately about regularly updating my blog. I've been spending some time deciding which direction I'd like to take it and, as you can see, doing a bit of a design makeover, which is still a work in progress. Anyway, rather than doing a single focused post today, and since I'm on occasion asked about this, I decided to give you all a glimpse of some of the things I've been obsessing over lately.

What will Kate Middleton be wearing for her BIG DAY?!?!
I am not ashamed to admit I have caught Royal Wedding fever. And as someone who loves fashion, not to mention beautiful wedding gowns, I am dying to see what the soon-to-be princess will be wearing upon her arrival to Westminster Abbey in a few hours. I've heard her mother, sister and bridesmaids are all wearing Alice Temperley for Temperley London, who I love, so maybe she will be, too? I'd say the chances are pretty high.

UPDATE!!:
Looks like Sarah Burton designed Kate's, or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, custom Alexander McQueen gown (her sister Pippa's Maid of Honor dress, as well). I think she looks stunning and timeless.

The 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala is just a few days away!
The New York Met's Costume Institute Gala never disappoints me. It will be taking place May 2, and hosted by none other than Anna Wintour (with the help of Colin Firth and Salma Hayek) and I cannot wait to see who wears what. Considering the exhibit is called, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, I'm sure there will be a lot of McQueen on the red carpet.

Madewell is FINALLY coming to San Francisco!
As one of my favorite stores since I discovered it while living in LA a few years ago, I have been waiting patiently for a Madewell to grace the halls of San Francisco Center (or Union Square, or Union/Chestnut/Fillmore Streets). I'm not really a huge fan of online shopping (blasphemy, I know) and the last time I was in LA (and forced my friend to go to Century City Mall just so I could go to Madewell) it was closed!! so I was so thrilled to read that there was FINALLY one opening here.

San Francisco is becoming a fashion hub? It's about time!
I love a good fashion blog and I've been so excited over the past few weeks to discover some local gems in a world of predominantly New Yorkers and Angelenos. Here's a few local fashion blogs that have become a part of my daily must-read list:

Refinery 29 (Be sure to check out their San Francisco section!)

Atlantic - Pacific

Even though fashion has been taking up the majority of the obsessive portion of my brain lately, I do still love discovering new TV shows and seeing trailers for new movies that I cannot wait to see.

Does it really have to end?!?
The new (and final...tissues, please!) Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, looks absolutely amazing. There really isn't anything to say beyond: Is it July 15th yet?

There really are better singing competitions than Idol!
I am a huge Christina Aguilera fan, and a Maroon 5 fan (don't judge me!), so a singing competition with Christina, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton coaching incredibly talented singers seemed like such a great concept to me. The fact that they skip the initial audition process and only show us actually talented people (are you as over feeling embarassed by the awful auditions on AI as I am?) is so refreshing. I never wanted to skip over any of the blind auditions! Check it out on Tuesday nights and see for yourself how fun this show is!

I suppose that's all for now. I could probably go on and on boring you all with tons of other things, but I won't. Stay tuned for much more fashion (Royal Wedding recap and Met Ball faves) and entertainment coming your way!

Until next time... xo

"We underestimated the power of the Biebs." "He's clearly a mini God."

I am very pleased to say that Glee won me back over this week. As I'm sure you could tell from my last Glee related post, I was starting to worry that the show had run its course, but alas, those crazy kids reminded me why I do really love the show.

Let's break it down, shall we?

Sue was up to crazy antics, as per usual, but they didn't annoy me as much this week as they have been. Her "Sue-icide" attempt was pretty clever and I'm glad it gave a reason to get Emma some more screen time. I've been missing her lately!

I LOVE that Glee tackled Bieber Fever. Who better than pretty boy Sam to make the girls swoon over a hair flip. Way to reel Quinn back in! I was dying over the guys in their hoodies and Bieber hair-dos and the girls swooning over them. Finn's "WTF?" face during the performance was classic.

Brittany helping Rachel with her comeback was pretty great too. I loved that she was able to make Rachel's "sexy school girl librarian chic" look the new trend, going so far as to becoming one of my favorite bloggers/street style photographers, Scott Schuman's "Trendiest Teen in America."

Finally, I have to admit I didn't realize how much I loved the big performances at the end of each episode until I realized how much I'd missed them this week. Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the song choice, it was still refreshing to see New Directions all together for the finale of the episode.

Speaking of songs, here are the few that were my faves of the week:

I'll leave you with a question. What happened to Vocal Adrenaline? I understand that they're not the only other Glee club (outside of the Warblers) but aren't they New Directions MAIN competition? Why is Sue becoming the head coach (or director or whatever) of Oral Intensity? I don't even really remember who they are.... Anyway, looking forward to next week. I'm glad to have re-caught the Gleever.

Until next time... xo

"I don't wanna die yet. At least not until One Tree Hill gets canceled."

Well Gleeks, the kids at McKinley High are back from sabbatical and leave it to New Directions to come back with a bang. Or should I say the Cheerios are back with a bang? Regardless, after a long absence we were finally treated to not one but TWO new episodes of Glee this week. Including the post-Super Bowl, football themed episode.

As per usual, there are songs now in heavy rotation on my iPod BUT I have to say, the past few weeks have been a little bit meh, in my opinion. Since I'm a glass half full kind of gal, I will start with the GOOD of the past two episodes.

The Good
Post Super Bowl episodes are always a spectacle, and Glee held its own among past shows. Rachel and Puck's duet of Need You Now and New Direction's Thriller/Heads Will Roll mash-up were both highlights of the episode.

And lucky us, we only had to wait two days for a new episode, so that's always good! This week's other new episode may have been the cheesiest holiday Valentine's Day-centric, but I have to say, it was definitely more entertaining than the Super Bowl episode. It was fun to see scheming jealous Santana and Puck wooing newbie Lauren. Plus, one of my favorite songs of the moment was covered wonderfully by Rachel.

The Bad
Other than that, not many great things to talk about, sadly. I'm HOPING Glee hasn't jumped the shark because that would be pretty unfortunate. Why has Kurt pretty much vanished behind Blaine and the Warblers? Where have Emma and Terri been? Since when are Rachel and Mercedes BFFs? Are they really already recycling the Finn/Quinn/Rachel love triangle?

Don't get me wrong! I am definitely not ready to throw in the towel on Glee. I'm HOPING that the coming weeks will remind me why I fell in love with the crazy kids of New Directions. Like I said, I'm a glass half full gal so I'm very confident that that will be the case!

Until next time... xo

"Everybody's having fun out here. They drinking, they fighting, they pissing on the streets. It's New Year's Eve!"

Another year has come and (almost) gone. Like most years, there has been good and there has been bad. I'm just going to focus on the good, though! As I'm sure you've all been inundated with a million "Best of 2010" lists over the past few weeks, I figured I'd add another into the mix. I'll keep it simple though. How about a top 3...or 2 or 4... (MY top 3...don't judge me, please!) of all my favorite subjects of the year? Sounds good to me! Here we go....

"I love that you did all this work, and it'll serve you well - but not on this movie."

Today was a pretty big news day in the world of entertainment and celebrity gossip. Not only were the nominations announced for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards (more on that later), but there were also 3 pretty high profile celeb couple break ups.

Dexter stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are divorcing after 2 years of marriage. I wonder if that will make their brother/sister relationship on the show a bit more awkward...I guess it worked out OK for Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray on One Tree Hill back in 2005. But, in more exciting news (for me, anyway) Ryan Reynolds and Zac Efron are now back on the market, as well! Ryan and Scarlett Johansson are divorcing, also after 2 years of marriage (I thought it was the "7-year itch" not the 2 year??) and Zac and Vanessa Hudgens have FINALLY split after 4 years. I would be more than happy to help each of them through this tough time.

Enough about that, let's get back to business, shall we? Early this morning Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood pulled themselves out of bed to announce the nominees for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards.

Click HERE for the full list of nominees.

As per usual, there were a snubs and surprises. What I think most people are wondering now is how the heck is The Tourist a comedy/musical? When has an Angelina Jolie ever been funny or musical? I'm dying to see Black Swan and Blue Valentine and, from what I've heard, they definitely deserved their nominations. What most surprised me about the movie nominations is that Burlesque was nominated for best comedy/musical. While I absolutely loved it, a friend and I were discussing recently whether or not it would get any award show love, beyond music, costumes and make up (which were all INCREDIBLE) and I am beyond excited that it has. Plus, the Christina Aguilera ballad "Bound to You" gave me chills while watching the movie (and every one of the 100 times I've listened to it since) and it better walk away with the award for best song.

Moving along to television, I am thrilled that the brand spankin' new The Walking Dead was nominated for best TV drama, but I'm still saddened that no CW shows are ever recognized. I know, I know. The CW is not exactly prime real estate according to the award voters, but Vampire Diaries and Nikita have been incredible this season and deserve some recognition! Of course Glee was given lots of love, with best actor, actress, supporting actor and supporting actress nominations (Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch, respectively). I have to admit, however, that I am a little surprised that anyone besides Chris Colfer was nominated. He's had an amazing season so far, whereas we've seen much less of the other 3 this year. And, like I said after the Emmys, I suppose I should give Modern Family a try one of these days.

I'm excited for the show January 16 and of course, super excited to see all the amazing fashions that the stars will show up in for the occasion. Plus, I'm really hoping that we'll get to see Christina Aguilera perform "Bound to You" live.

Until next time... xo

"Any zombies out there?" "Don't say that!" "What?" "The zed word, don't say that!" "Why?" "Because it's ridiculous!"

The zombie genre has never been something I've been in to. Don't get me wrong, Shaun of the Dead is one of the funniest movies ever made, but there's just something about zombies that never really won me over. You know that phenomenon where you pretty much have never heard about something and then one person says something about and then you start hearing about it all the time? That's what happened to me with the new AMC show The Walking Dead.

A few weeks ago, a friend asked me why I'd never written about The Walking Dead in any of my blog posts. The reason was, I told him, that I never really had any interest in watching the show, in which case he then told me that I immediately needed to get on my On Demand and start watching. I thought, OK, maybe if I happen to be home with nothing to do and nothing good saved on my DVR, I'll give it a try. THEN, a few days later, a different friend was over and while I was in the other room, he happened to head over to my On Demand and turn it on. At that point I thought to myself, well shoot. I suppose I should actually give it a try. And am I glad I did (even though pretty much every episode gave me nightmares)!

UPDATE: A reader pointed out to me that I should include a spoiler alert, so here it is: SPOILER ALERT!! Stop reading here if you don't want to know what happens. Thank you.

Luckily for me, I started watching the show with only one episode left in the very short, 6 episode, first season, so I didn't have to wait long between episodes (on of the best ways to watch a series, if you ask me). The season finale, although at times reminded me a bit of Lost, made sure to keep me very interested in seeing what will come next. Cliffhangers can be stressful sometimes, but they keep you interested and questioning what will come next. I, myself, was left with the following 5 questions (hopefully for those wanting to watch the show, but haven't yet, these won't give away too much):

1. How did the outbreak happen in the first place? Did it start in Georgia and somehow spread through the whole country then continent then planet?

2. What happened to Morgan and Duane? Did they end up in Atlanta? What happened to Merle?

3. Is Lori going to end up pregnant with Shane's baby? How is that going to affect Lori and Rick's relationship? How will that affect Shane and Rick's relationship? Will they all end up turning on each other?

4. What's going on in Atlanta with the other group of survivors? Are they still holed up in the old-folks' home? Or have the "walkers" overtaken them?

5. After leaving the CDC in the final moments of the season finale, where will the group end up going? Are they just going to aimlessly drive until they run out of gas?

I guess we'll have to wait until next year when The Walking Dead returns for season 2, whenever that ends up being, for answers to many of these. Or maybe, if I can't wait that long, I'll go out and buy the comic books and see what happens.

These kinds of shows and movies always leave me with one(ish) remaining question: If I were in this situation, what would I do? Would I try and survive or would I just give up? What would YOU do???

Until next time... xo

"Why do we blog? We blog to exist, therefore we are... idiots."

Today is kind of a big deal for me. This post marks the 100th blog post for Until Next Time!! Due to this, I decided it would be fun to go back and look at my first post. After re-reading those words I wrote on March 9 of this year, I am pretty proud of where I have taken this little blog of mine. I love that I am able to entertain my friends, and even people I've never met, for a few minutes as they read what I've written. I love the feedback that I've received from everyone and the fact that they refer my blog to their friends, too!

I figured that since TV is a big topic on Until Next Time, why not highlight some 100th episodes of my favorite TV shows. Making it that far is a big deal and they always seem to make them special.

Gilmore Girls - Season 5, "Wedding Bell Blues"
A grand affair is the center piece of this very special 100th episode. Emily and Richard are back together and renewing their vows in a huge ceremony with no lack of drama. Everything starts off all hunky dory but what would a Gilmore even be without it! Rory and Logan finally get together, only to be walked in on by Lorelai, which then in turn leads to a fight between Christopher and Luke, which then leads to a fight between Christopher and Lorelai, which then leads to a fight between Luke and Lorelai, which then leads to a fight between Lorelai and Emily. Ending with Lorelai and Luke broken up and Lorelai and her mother not on speaking terms. How cute does Rory look in her tux, though!

Friends - Season 5, "The One Hundredth"
The 100th episode of Friends revolves around Phoebe's giving birth to her brother's triplets. Not to be outdone, though, the rest of the gang has plenty going on around them while at the hospital. Ross and Joey sharing quality time while Joey passes a kidney stone. Rachel trying to get Monica to flirt with some hot male nurses, while Monica is hiding the fact that she's actually dating Chandler. While Chandler almost blows it with Monica by telling her they're just "messing around". Oops! Alls well that ends well, though and Phoebe successfully gives birth to the babies, Joey successfully passes his kidney stone and Monica and Chandler remain together. And lucky Chandler even gets a baby named after him!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 5, "The Gift"
The fifth season of Buffy was particularly heartbreaking, mainly with the illness and death of Buffy's mother, but the 100th episode was especially gut wrenching. Knowing that Dawn is the key to opening all the Hell dimensions on Earth, the evil god Glory catches up to the Scoobies and kidnaps her. In order to prevent apocalypse Buffy must make the ultimate sacrifice by ending her own life in order to save everyone else's. Even though Buffy's the world is saved in the end, you can't help but shed a tear when you see Buffy's dead body at the end of the episode.

Beverly Hills, 90210 - Season 4, "Scared Very Straight"
Valentine's Day is the backdrop for the 100th episode of 90210. David's drug use finally catches up to him, but luckily Dylan is there to save the day. Too bad he wasn't able to save his relationship with Donna. Andrea and Jesse finally get the approval of her family and get married, with a small reception at, where else, the Peach Pit. Brandon, tired of being the good guy, starts a scandalous affair with his professors wife. Plus, Brenda is reunited (albeit for a very short time) with her one-time fiance Stuart. What a great way to spend Hallmark's favorite holiday! Hey, maybe I'll talk about 90210 again when I hit my 200th post!

Angel - Season 5, "You're Welcome"
The 100th episode of Angel is the turning point for Angel which eventually leads to the dramatic conclusion of the series. Cordelia, who was GREATLY missed, awakens from her coma to help remind Angel what his purpose is: to protect the world from evil. Coincidentally, when she walks in to his office, she finds him watching a video she and Doyle had created when Angel Investigations was first created (right before Doyle's death) which makes helps her prove her point. She is also able to apologize to Wesley for killing Lyla while she was possessed by the demon Jasmine. Who knew you could be so productive after waking up from a coma! Plus, we finally get to see what we had been waiting for for 2 seasons. Angel and Cordelia finally share a kiss! Too bad seconds later we find out that Cordelia never actually woke up from her coma. At least her spirit was able to do good!

I want to finish this up by thanking all my loyal readers for encouraging me to keep going and making Until Next Time an important part of my life. Who knew back in March when I started this little blog that I'd actually make it to 100? Here's to hundreds more!!

Until next time... xo

"They don't know who they are, everyone's turned into a monster, it's a whole big thing. How are you?"

As I've mentioned before, Halloween is probably my favorite holiday of the year. So when Halloween and television combine, I am one happy camper! Over the past week or so I've been trying to catch up on my favorite Halloween episodes of TV shows past and remembering why Iloved them so much in the first place.

Here's a list of my 5 favorites, thus far:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 2, "Halloween"
Buffy as a damsel in distress, Xander as a heroic officer and Willow as a scantily clad ghost. What's so great about this episode is that we get to see each of the characters in a completely different way. Because of Giles' arch nemisis Ethan Rayne, the residents of Sunnydale literally become what their halloween costumes are, causing all kinds of mayhem. Who needs vampires and other demons to run a muck when you have trick or treaters becoming their costumes?!

Angel - Season 5, "Life of the Party"
One of my favorite characters on Angel, Lorne, gets the opportunity to shine in this Halloween episode. Tasked with throwing the Wolfram & Hart Halloween party, all hell breaks loose when his power of suggestion becomes a little too powerful (Angel and Eve, Gunn marking his territory, Wesley and Fred getting wasted after a single drink). Plus, it's always fun to see Angel not so wound up and broody for a change!

My So-Called Life - Season 1, "Halloween"
As I said last week, this is one of my all time favorite episodes of TV, not just Halloween episodes. I've probably watched it about 100 times a year since I got the DVDs a few years back and I still love every second of it. Ghosts, attempted seances, bewitched costumes, trick or treating and awkward teenage interaction. What more could you possibly ask for?

90210 - Season 2, "Halloween"
Leave it to the kids at West Beverly to find themselves in all kinds of crazy situations on Halloween. Donna in her classic mermaid costume, unable to move. Kelly in her risque witch costume, almost being date raped. Brandon and Emily Valentine almost losing the kids they're babysitting while trick or treating. Plus, how amazing were Brenda and Dylan's Bonnie and Clyde costumes?!

Felicity - Season 1, "Spooked"
I've always been a Ben Covington fan and this episode is great because it's one of the first times we get to see some great Felicity/Ben interaction. Even though he pulls some pretty a-hole moves throughout the majority of the episode (not showing up at the police station, telling Felicity he'd be Frankenstein to her Bride of Frankenstein at the party, making out with the pink Power Ranger in front of her), he finds a way to redeem himself in the end. How hilarious was is it when Noel tried to talk to Felicity with her make up running down her face, false lashes falling off and then puking in his lap? Good thing he was a Subway employee and had his gloves on!

I'm looking forward to more great Halloween episodes from new shows. I can only imagine how creative some of these costumes will be!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Until next time... xo

"I know you're lonely, but you're not alone."

I wanted to post a quick update to last week's Glee wrap up. Thanks to my dear friend Shawna, I was shown the inspiration of the amazing duet by Lea Michele's Rachel Berry and Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel.

It is amazing to me how perfectly they were able to recreate this magical moment that took place almost 50 years ago. They can sing Barbara and Judy every week from now on and I'll be happy!

Until next time... xo

Title quote: Rachel Berry, "Glee"

"When I was little I, like, worshipped Halloween. And truthfully, part of me still does. 'Cause it's your one chance all year to be someone else."

One of the best holidays has crept up on us quickly this year. Halloween! While I'm usually way ahead of schedule in my Halloween preparations, this year I apparently dropped the ball and I'm just starting to think about it now. The past few years I already knew what I wanted to be next year before that year's Halloween even happened! I guess that's pretty standard for 2010, though. Everything seems to be going by SO quickly.

So due to the fact that up until about noon today I had no clue what I wanted to be for Halloween, I've been doing a lot of research on the subject. As a huge fan of the 90s I have been doing a lot of Google image searches on many of my favorite TV shows and movies from that decade. Since I'm pretty sure I already know what I'm going to be (and no, it's not from the 90s...but the 80s!) I figured I'd go ahead and share my findings. Plus, I've already been a few of these so I can attest to their success!

My So-Called Life
Not only did MSCL have an amazing Halloween episode, which inspired my 2007 vampire/Rayanne Graff costume, Angela and Rayanne had such distinct style that it would be easy to tell the Angela Chase's from a simple grunge costume. So much so that they even had Danielle Chase, her little sister, dress up as her in their Halloween episode.

Empire Records
This movie really was the epitome of 90s style. Each character had such distinctive fashion choices and anyone who has seen the movie, or the poster for that matter, would know immediately who you were being. Again, my 2008 costume was inspired by Renee Zellweger's daring Music Town "uniform".

Dazed and Confused
Now, I realize that Dazed and Confused is supposed to take place in the 70s, but it was MADE in the 90s so it counts! This movie introduced me to something I've wanted to be since I was in high school, and tried to make happen my senior year of high school, and maybe will have an opportunity to be one day. I mean, let's be honest. What girl doesn't want to be in the in-crowd, hazing the younger girls into their group? Plus, even the guys in this movie had great style. They would totally fit in now, based on what we saw during fashion month.

Baywatch
Baywatch was one of the most quintessential shows of the 90s, and probably one of the easiest to make a costume out of. Whether you're a man or a woman, throw on a red swimsuit and jacket and you're ready for Halloween. Ladies, maybe throw some balloons in there just to make it a bit more authentic.

Wayne's World
A simple costume choice for the guys out there, and one a few friends pulled off quite well Halloween 2008: Wayne and Garth. Most guys probably have all the elements for these costumes already. May just mean a trip to a silkscreen shop to get the Wayne's World hat made.

Spice Girls
Another costume I've wanted to be since high school is any of the Spice Girls, ideally Posh. Talk about a fun, colorful costume for a group of girlfriends! Plus, any reason to listen to Spice Girls all night is a reason for me. Yes, I'm admitting I'm a Spice Girls fan. Yes, I was there at Staples Center rocking out and singing every song during their reunion tour in 2007.

Pulp Fiction
Ladies. Do you have black pants and a white button up? Guys. Do you have a black suit? Then you can easily be Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace. Yet again, another costume I've always wanted to be, and hopefully someday will. My dear friend Mandy does keep hinting at a Tarantino themed party, so maybe I'll have my chance. And, how cute is Uma's banged bob?

Britney Spears
The one and only Miss Britney Spears has been a joke costume over the past few years, but back in the 90s, let's call this pre-K Fed, she had a little video that changed the easy Halloween costume for everyone. I'm going to be bold and say the Baby One More Time video brought the slutty schoolgirl costume to the masses, and I have to admit, won me over Halloween 2002. But not only that outfit, but every other in that same video ALMOST inspired my costume for this year, but alas, that may have to wait.

I could go on and on and on about pop culture Halloween costumes, but I'll leave it at that. I can't wait to see what people come up with this year. I'm sure there will be a lot of Jersey Shore, maybe some Glee, maybe some Gaga...guess I'll just have to wait.

As Britney would say, Have a Happy Halloween, y'all!!

Until next time... xo

"I think you and I are more similar than you think." "That's a terrible thing to say."

Glee this week had me a little confused. I get what they were trying to accomplish...bringing back the Finn/Kurt homophobia issue, showing us that Santana and Brittany are indeed more than just good girlfriends, giving Quinn a new love interest, etc. but there was something about this episode that I just didn't like as much as I usually LOVE the episodes. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they're continuing to bring more depth to the show and some of the duets were incredible, but like I said, it just left me a little confused.

Regardless, there were still 2 songs that have been in heavy rotation on my iPod since Tuesday night, so I wanted to share.

Rachel and Kurt's duet/mash-up gave me goosebumps! Lea Michele and Chris Colfer are ridiculously talented and watching this made me wish I had 1% of the amount of talent they have.

Divas Santana and Mercedes had me dancing on my couch with their fantastic, fun performance. I totally would have voted for them if I were a member of New Directions.

I know I've said this about 100 times now, but I am so freaking excited about the Rocky Horror episode in 2 weeks. I only wish it was coming sooner!!

Rachel and Finn as Janet and Brad, Kurt as Riff Raff and my new crush Sam Evans as Rocky. I wonder who's playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter. I'm shivering from the antici........pation.

Until next time... xo

"When I pulled the sandwich out, I saw the face of God. Literally."

While I usually reserve my Tuesday night emotion-fest for my 45 minutes with the drama filled One Tree Hill crew, this week Glee threw me a curve ball with its extremely emotional episode, Grilled Cheesus. This is what I love about Glee. They can do something completely hilarious and not-so-deep, albeit super fun, one week with Britney and nitrous oxide fantasies, and then go completely the other direction by having an episode devoted to spirituality and God. I really believe Chris Colfer proved to everyone this week why he was nominated for an Emmy. Everything about his performance was gut-wrenching, heart-breaking and every other compound word relating to emotion.

We were treated to some chill-inducing performances by both Rachel and Mercedes this week. What I wouldn't give to have a voice like either of theirs. On the comedy side, we had some hilarious moments from Finn, who found Jesus in his grilled cheese. Apparently when that happens, you get three wishes, like a genie, in which Finn used to his advantage.

Songs of the week: Rachel's (doing Ms. Streisand once again) Papa Can You Hear Me and Kurt's I Want To Hold Your Hand.

Next week looks to be another fun filled episode, with the return of new hottie Sam Evans. Did I see a spark between him and Quinn in the preview??

Until next time... xo

"I would just like to say that from now on I demand to have every solo in glee club."

If there are two things that will make any pop culture junkie, such as myself, happy, they are Glee and Britney Spears. Combine them together and you get an amazing hour of television, with many more hours of music to follow.

Another episode in the bag and it did not disappoint. I have to admit, I was a bit bummed to see one of my favorite Britney songs, Stronger, sung by someone other than Rachel, but I'll let it slide. I was so happy to see Terri back, albeit briefly, stirring up trouble, and the addition of John Stamos, better known as Uncle Jesse, as Will's new nemesis. And, even though I love Rachel Berry/Lea Michele, it's always fun to see other characters getting the spotlight. Who knew Brittany had such chops? Although, I suppose Britney Spears songs aren't the hardest in the world, but I wouldn't be able to rock them the way she did.

How PERFECT was Rachel's rendition of Baby One More Time? It matched the original video to a T! Not to mention Brittany's Slave and Brittany and Santana's Me Against The Music. I kept thinking I was watching the actual videos, not the Gleeks performing them. Check them all out HERE. I knew Heather Morris (Brittany) could dance, considering she used to tour with Beyonce and was hired for the show originally to choreograph the Single Ladies number, but she was BANANAS in each of her Britney fantasies. If I start dancing, will I get abs like hers?

Now for my favorite songs:

Rachel's spot on Baby One More Time.

New Direction's Fosse-esque Toxic.

Rachel's (I realize this wasn't Britney) breathtaking The Only Exception.

Next week should be interesting...religion and a possible death. Looks like Ryan Murphy has no problem with the "hard" stuff. Maybe Brittany will have the opportunity to have her Ke$ha moment too.

Until next time... xo

"We need chorus glee club members, people to stand behind me with wet eyes while I sing solos."

Welcome back to McKinley High gleeks! A new season is upon us, with so many more songs to add to my iPod. I think this goes without saying, but I wanted to give a quick spoiler alert for those of you who haven't seen this new episode yet...but, come on. How could you not have?

The new season begins with Finn and Rachel together and in love, Mr Shue and Sue Sylvester new BFFs, Tina and Mike Chang together after falling in love at Asian camp and Artie heartbroken, Quinn back on the Cheerios to Santana's dismay and lots of new characters! We have a new nemesis for Sue, football coach Shannon Beiste, new hottie Sam Evans and a new diva Sunshine Corazon (better look out Rachel!).

Now, the majority of the episode was pretty wonderful, with the exception of some of the rapping, which they can't seem to get rid of (although, I did like the singing in both songs that included rapping, but I digress...), but the best part of the episode revolved around Rachel's Sunshine freakout. Not only do they share an amazing duet in the ladies room, leading to Rachel sending Sunshine to a crack house instead of the New Directions audition, but we also get chill inducing solos from each.

As per usual (and by usual I mean what I did last season), enjoy my favorite songs from the episode!

I am SO ecstatic that Rachel drove Sunshine to join Vocal Adrenaline. They really do need a new star now that Jesse St. James has graduated (single tear). This should make for some very exciting New Directions/Vocal Adrenaline competition.

Oh, and I cannot wait for next week's Britney episode. Seeing Rachel in the classic red track pants/yellow sports bra and school girl/pigtails makes me itch with anticipation. And, I just heard the most amazing news: SYTYCD's very own Adam Shankman is directing the Rocky Horror Picture Show themed episode...the theme in itself exciting enough! I have a feeling this season is going to be pretty incredible!

Until next time... xo

"Gossip Girl here. Your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite."

This week not only marks one of the most fun weeks of the year for me (my birthday week!) but also the return of some of my favorite shows. And, it keeps going through next week, as well, with not only returning shows, but the new shows I'm very excited to see. I keep saying I love this time of year, but I really just can't help getting giddy over new episodes of my favorites.

I figured that I'd do a quick rundown of what happened in the season finales of my shows (don't even get me started on the True Blood finale last night) and my hopes for the new season. Shall we begin? OK...in order of premiere date/time.

Gossip Girl - Monday, 9/13 @ 9

Last spring: Blair finally decides to take Chuck back, only to find out moments after his proposal that he slept with Lil' J that night before. Serena and Nate break up after Nate finds out she had kissed Dan. Dan is about to follow heartbroken Serena and Blair to Paris, only to be sidelined by Georgina's confession to him that she's pregnant and he's the father. And a heartbroken Chuck wallows away the loss of Blair in Prague, where he is mugged, shot and left for dead.

Here's what I hope happens this season: Serena and Blair find new guys in Paris (we need new blood in the male department in the Upper East Side) and forget about Dan/Nate and Chuck. I think we've had enough of Serena and Dan and Serena and Nate never seemed right to me. And as much as I loved Blair and Chuck together, it would be nice to see her with someone new. Dan should end up being the father of Georgina's baby. It will get him off his high horse a bit AND we'll get to see much more of Michelle Tracthenberg. I've heard rumblings of a Chuck has amnesia plot line, but I'm really hoping they don't go there. Also, I was so happy to see Lil' J leave the show, but I've been seeing pics of her on set lately. Let's hope she's just visiting her old cast mates.

One Tree Hill - Tuesday, 9/14 @ 8pm

Last spring: Nathan saves Haley from her deep depression over her mother's death and from a suicide attempt. Julian invites the whole gang to a film festival in Utah for the premiere of his and Alex's movie. After which, full of joy from the success, he proposes to Brooke. Finally back to her normal self, Haley finds out she's pregnant again. And, just when we think all's well in Tree Hill, Clay and Quinn are shot by crazy Katie.

Here's what I hope happens this season: I am really (really) hoping that they bring back the focus of this season to the original characters - Brooke, Haley, Nathan, Mouth, etc. Last year WAY too much time was spent on new characters Quinn and Clay, who in my opinion, added nothing to the show. Brooke will hopefully find the happiness and love she's always wanted with Julian and, since this may be the final season of the series, she'll end the season with a big wedding. Nathan and Haley just can't seem to catch a break lately. Last season began with them dealing with Nathan being blackmailed for an affair he took no part in, then Haley's mother passes away, now her sister, Quinn, could potentially be murdered. As much as it would make me happy to have Quinn and Clay out of the picture (harsh, I know), I just want things be happy for Nathan and Haley for once. I know, I know...happiness doesn't provide good drama, but if this is going to be the last season, I'd like to see good closure for my favorite characters.

Parenthood - Tuesday, 9/14 @ 10pm

Last spring: Unfortunately this was a quick season, as it was its first, and it was a mid-season show, so I'll do a season summary, rather than season finale. Sarah continually deals with the stress of being a single parent and moving her teenagers to a new town. And, the constant struggle of raising a teenage daughter, who has slept with her cousin's ex boyfriend and almost ran away. Adam and Kristina deal with raising a hormonal teenage daughter and an autistic son. Julia and Joel continue to juggle work and being a stay at home dad, respectively. Dax decides to move to NY to be with Jasmine and their son. And, patriarch Zeke tries to win back the love and trust of his wife, Camille.

Here's what I hope happens this season: Like I said, since this show is new, and there were so few episodes last season, I unfortunately don't have too much vision as to what may happen this year. I hope that Sarah and Amber work out their differences. And on that note, Amber and Haddie are able to get over the whole "she slept with my bf" situation and become friends again. Even though I think it's great that Dax wants to move to NY to be with Jasmine and Jabaar, I love the interaction between him and the rest of the Braverman crew, so hopefully something will happen to keep them all in Berkeley.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Thursday, 9/16 @ 10pm

Last spring: So this show doesn't exactly follow the whole what happened last week really matters this week formula, so I can't imagine anything that happened in the finale will have any effect on what happens in the new season. Basically, the gang got drunk, did something stupid and then got drunk again. All while being hilarious and offending everyone in their wake.

Here's what I'm hoping happens this season: The main thing I'm interested in seeing play out this season is the incorporation of Kaitlin Olson's pregnancy into the show. I'm pretty sure they've made Sweet Dee pregnant, which I can only imagine will allow for some completely ridiculous situations. Wouldn't it be great if they made Sweet Dee and Mac have a drunken one night stand that leads to her becoming pregnant? Then we'd get to see some great interactions from the real-life couple. And hey, while we're at it, even though there is no chance of this happening, let's have the waitress finally decide she likes Charlie. Doesn't he deserve a break, eventually? Oh, and let's make sure we have lots of Dennis time...doesn't really matter to me what it is.

Glee - Tuesday, 9/21 @ 8pm

Last spring: Rachel and Finn finally get together after an amazing, although not successful, Regionals performance. Quinn has her baby, who is then adopted by Rachel's birth mother, Shelby. Sue finally develops a bit of a warm spot for New Directions and finds a way for them to keep the club together. Mr. Shue and Emma share another kiss, even though she's supposedly dating her new dentist now.

Here's what I hope happens this season: Rachel and Finn get to stay together throughout the season, BUT only if Jesse St. James really isn't making a comeback. As much as I love aw shucks Finn, I can't get enough of bad boy Jesse. Plus, who could say no to wanting to see Jesse/Rachel duets every week. I hope Quinn is able to re-join the Cheerios and becomes sassy Quinn again, although maybe not bitchy-sassy. Just sassy. I hope they somehow find a way to keep Terri around, although maybe not a Terri/Will reunion. I just really love her character, and Jessalyn Gesslig. Plus, I'm hoping, and I've heard rumblings this is true, that the smaller characters (Puck, Mercedes, Kurt, Brittany, Santana, Artie and Tina) become much bigger this season. I mean, they pretty much did towards the end of the season, but let's keep it coming!

I guess that's all of them. I keep looking at the weekly TV schedules and there are so many shows, both new and old, that I am now wanting to add to my DVR's rotation. I only hope the poor thing can handle them all!

Until next time... xo
