"I've stood here long enough to know that none of this means anything."

Teeny tiny little update to last night's post. This morning we got a brand new video for Robotanists' single from Plans in Progress, "On/Off The Ledge", directed by Thomas Kenney. I find it to be outrageously insane and I absolutely love every second of it. Have a watch. I insist!

Robotanists - "On/Off Ledge" from Consequence of Sound on Vimeo.

Can't you just picture some artsy, farsty Hollywood director (think Darren Aronofsky, Tarsem Singh, Guillermo del Toro) taking this and running with it to create a fantastically trippy movie? I'd go see it!

Until next time... xo

"Keep on dancing till the world ends."

I realize this post should have happened already, but hey, whatryagonnado? I was pretty upset that I wasn't able to accompany my brother's amazing band, Robotanists (have you LIKED on FB them yet?) to the SXSW Music Festival in super fun Austin, Texas a couple weeks ago. Apparently I have a lot of music loving friends on FB and my newsfeed was giving me up to the moment reminders that I was here and not there, making me very envious. So in order to pretend like I was there rockin' out with everyone, I spent some time streaming their most recent albums for free. Yep. They're so generous that you can listen to their entire music library for free on the internet.

I know I've posted some of the tracks from this before, but here it is, in its entirety, Robotanists' full lenghth LP, Plans in Progress. The more I listen to it, the more I love it, so I would recommend that you all listen to it on a loop for a little while. What do you think?

Also, because finishing and releasing a brand spankin' new album wasn't tiring enough, they decided it would be a good idea to cover the entire new Radiohead album, The King of Limbs, over a 24 hour period. To which I must say, I'm very glad they did. I'll be honest, I haven't heard the entire Radiohead version yet, but I feel like now I'll just be disappointed because I love their cover so much.

I still need to check out some of the other buzzed about bands from this year's SXSW, but in the meantime, this has satiated my craving. Thank you Robotanists.

And now, that I've provided you with hours of musical enjoyment, let me give you one more nugget (WARNING: all my music street cred is about to go right out the window). I'm kind of loving the new Britney. I know, I know. It's completely overproduced and is basically auto-tune over a dance track, but the more I've listened to it, the more I want to keep listening to it. You have to admit, the girl knows how to make what she has (or doesn't have) work and still manages to make fun records. Check it out for yourself HERE. Plus, I'm still pretty impressed by her V Magazine cover shoot from last month (random, I know).

Keep it up, Britney! And Robotanists - I hope you don't mind I talked about you and Britney in one blog post. I love you both!

Until next time... xo

"Now all I can see. It's just you and me, 'till, we somehow find relief."

Quick post to start the day!

We all know how big of a Robotanists fan I am. Not just because they're my brother's band, but because they are extremely talented and amazing musicians. This past Sunday we were treated to a brand new dream-like video for one of my favorite tracks, Wait A Minute Here. Check it out!

I love the artfulness of the Picasso's Blue Period-inspired video and the eerie qualities it possesses. Plus, I have to say, the styling is perfection! It's no wonder why the always lovely Sarah (the lead singer) was featured in Ragged magazine over the summer because of her great fashion sense.

"Edward, there’s no point to forever without you. I wouldn’t want one day without you."

It's been a while since I talked about Twilight, so I figured I'd share a tidbit I discovered today. Last week the soundtrack to Eclipse was announced and I was very pleased with the array of artists included in the list.

I was able to find the full song for the first official single, Neutron Star Collison (Love is Forever) by Muse and I love it! I'm a huge fan on Muse and since Stephenie Meyer is too, their songs are always included in the soundtracks. The video will be released tomorrow, but at least we can enjoy the song today!

Here is the full track listing:

1. Metric- Eclipse (All Yours)
2. MUSE- Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)
3. The Bravery- Ours
4. Florence + The Machine- Heavy In Your Arms
5. Sia- My Love
6. Fanfarlo- Atlas
7. The Black Keys- Chop And Change
8. The Dead Weather- Rolling In On A Burning Tire
9. Beck and Bat For Lashes- Let's Get Lost
10. Vampire Weekend- Jonathan Low
11. UNKLE- With You In My Head (Feat. The Black Angels)
12. Eastern Conference Champions- A Million Miles An Hour
13. Band of Horses- Life On Earth
14. Cee Lo Green- What Part of Forever
15. Howard Shore- Jacob's Theme

The album will be available June 8. Be sure that I'll be downloading it! Although, if I had the authority to add some songs, I would definitely include one from the Robotanists. Wait a Minute Here perhaps?

Maybe it will get scooped up for Breaking Dawn.

Until next time... xo

"So Wayne, I hear you're putting on some kind of concert. That's good. People need to be entertained, they need the distraction."

Since I will be unable to attend the Coachella music festival in Indio, CA this weekend, I figured I should just make a playlist featuring songs of some of the bands that I want to see and won't be able to.

Enjoy!

Since I can't go to Coachella, this is my "I wish I was there" playlist by Erin Boy

If you were lucky enough to get tickets, click HERE for a full schedule and list of who will be there. Hopefully I'll be able to go next year, and maybe my friends the Robotanists will be a headlining band!

Until next time... xo
