"It's good to know that the ones you love will always be in your heart. And if you're very lucky, only a plane ride away. "

I just came across a trailer for a movie coming out this summer that looks like the perfect combination of chick flick and comedy.

Going the Distance, starring real-life couple Drew Barrymore and Justin Long is about a brand new couple who are dealing with the struggle of the dreaded LDR (long distance relationship for you non-acronym people out there). Check out the trailer.

Now, I think what really intrigues me about this movie, besides Drew Barrymore's character being named Erin, is the cast. Not only does it include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's resident wild card Charlie Day (wasn't I JUST talking about him venturing out?), but it also has the always hilarious Jim Gaffigan, Christina Applegate, SNL's Jason Sudeikis and Flight of the Conchords' Kristen Schaal. I think that this is what takes it out of standard "rom com" territory and takes it to a more "Knocked Up", "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "I Love You, Man" kind of place. A chick flick/romantic comedy in disguise! Plus, it looks like it partly takes place in SF (as well as NY), which is always fun for the Bay Area gal in me.

I am getting very excited for all the fun movies coming out in the next few months!!

Until next time... xo
